In 1999, when Ken Diel was celebrating 20 years in business with his firm Diel & Forguson, LLC, he decided to start his own investment company. The accounting firm had enjoyed considerable success in the region, helping both individuals and businesses grow and prosper. He noticed, however, that clients' were frequently unhappy with the advice they received from stock brokers. "Other brokers often seemed more concerned with selling securities, mutual funds, annuities, or stocks, with little regard to diversification, tax implications, or whether it was the right investment for the client" explains Ken. One of the first pure "fee-only" investment companies in the area, Cambridge Capital Management remains a place where clients can be confident that they are getting independent, unbiased investment advice. Ken earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Valuation Analyst, and a Personnel Financial Specialist. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, both the Illinois and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is also a member and past president of the O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of O'Fallon, and has served on the Board of Directors for various local organizations. He and his wife Patricia have a son and daughter who are both married, and two grandsons. They reside in O'Fallon, Illinois.
